I have been practicing with different lenses and settings to prepare for the Migration south when Shollenberger Park will be filled with birds of all kinds. Steadying the flowers with my new Plamp yields sharper shots. The Kirk tripod collar allows one to easily slide the camera closer to fine-tune the often manual focus. I visited Shollenberger Park again to test my new Kirk Tripod collar and camera plate. They work quite well, beating out the Wimberly equipment I had on loan. The Wimberly Sidekick would be a good addition, if I ever get a larger lens. I am practicing for the expected October Winged Migration.
